The Laurelton Art Society grew out of the interests of a small group of artists dedicated to providing a means for those who share an interest in sketching and painting in the media of oil, acrylics, or pastels to associate, share ideas, and promote a public interest in the creative arts. An Annual art exhibit is held. The first show was in August of 1979. Ribbons are awarded for excellence in oil painting, mixed media, watercolor, photography, and sculpture. Each year the Art Society tries to include in its program demonstrations and workshops which cover a wide variety of techniques to match the interests of our membership. 2006-2007 Officers President: Dianne Nungesser Vice President: Kathy Essner Secretary: Kendell Kawa Treasurer: Jerry O'Connor Grants: Joanne Zezula Telephone Caller Chairperson: Helga Ruppert Mailings- Mary DeGroat Refreshments: Elayne Leighton Newsletter: Kendell Kawa Hospital Coordinator: Betty Clayton Programs: Lynne Salisbury designed by Robert Margulski |
